Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern the use of the PagueMe app ("PagueMe" or "the app"), developed and maintained by HVCB App&Games ("developer"). By installing or using the app, you declare that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What the app is

PagueMe is a digital companion for Banco Imobiliário-style board game matches: it replaces paper bills with digital balances shared in real time among the players in a room. It lets you create and join rooms by code or QR Code, transfer money between players and the Bank, pay rents, record the purchase, building, mortgage and transfer of properties, view statements and roll dice.

Important: PagueMe money is fictional and has no real monetary value. The app does not process real payments, does not move bank accounts or Pix, does not run bets or gambling with money and is not a financial service. It is also not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by the owners of the Banco Imobiliário game or of similar brands.

2. License to use

The developer grants you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to use the app on devices you own, in accordance with these Terms and the app store's policies (Google Play). You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, decompile or reverse engineer the app, except where permitted by law.

3. Free and ad-supported

The app can be used free of charge and shows banner ads provided by third parties (Google AdMob). The developer does not control and is not responsible for the content of the ads shown or for the products or services they promote. Ad display rules may be adjusted in app updates.

4. Rooms, the Bank and participants

A room is shared: every participant who has the code sees the same data (names, balances and transactions);
Whoever creates the room is the Bank and can give or charge money, undo transactions, edit properties, remove players and end the room. By joining a room, you acknowledge these powers;
The rules of the match and any disagreements between players are the participants' own responsibility — the app only records what is entered and does not act as a referee;
Access to a room is by code only. You are responsible for sharing it only with those who should take part.

5. Your responsibilities

By using the app, you agree to:

Use it only for lawful purposes and in good faith;
Not use names, nicknames or text that is offensive, discriminatory, unlawful or that violates third-party rights, and not enter sensitive personal data of yours or of others;
Not try to access other people's rooms by guessing codes, circumvent or overload the services, use automation or reverse engineer the app;
Check balances and transactions during the match and agree on any corrections with the other players and the Bank.

6. User content

Names, nicknames, descriptions and other text typed into rooms are the responsibility of whoever types them and are visible to the other participants in the room. The developer may remove rooms or content that violate these Terms or the law.

7. Connection, availability and data — important limitation

Rooms depend on an internet connection and on third-party services (Google Firebase). Therefore:

Connection or service failures may cause delays, balance discrepancies or loss of records;
A room's data is stored on the server, but the developer does not guarantee it will be kept for any set period — old or inactive rooms may be removed at any time;
Local history (recent rooms and preferences) is erased if you clear the app's data or uninstall it;
Do not use the app as the only record of important information.

8. Privacy

How data is handled in the app is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.

9. Intellectual property

The app, including its brand, name, visual identity, code and content, belongs to the developer and is protected by intellectual property law. These Terms do not transfer to you any ownership rights in the app. "Banco Imobiliário", "Monopoly" and related names or brands belong to their respective owners and are mentioned only to indicate the kind of game the app can be used with; PagueMe is an independent app.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind regarding uninterrupted availability, absence of errors, perfect synchronization between devices or fitness for a particular purpose, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. The developer strives to keep the app working properly but does not guarantee that it will be free of faults.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect damages, disagreements between players, balance or record discrepancies, loss of room data, unavailability of third-party services (Google Play, Google Firebase, AdMob) or the content of third-party ads. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot be waived under the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code.

12. Suspension and termination

The developer may suspend access for anyone who violates these Terms, remove rooms or content, and end or suspend distribution of the app or of specific features, with notice through the app store where required. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.

13. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated to reflect changes in the app or legal requirements. The current version will always be available on this page, with the update date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the new version.

14. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. The courts of your place of residence are chosen to settle disputes arising from these Terms, in accordance with consumer law.
